How does it do that? If it did, I’d be happy to pay. It’s just a ssn trace (barring anyone without a ssn from the site!), sex offender registry check, then a quickie lookup through sterling. The sterling checks FREQUENTLY make mistakes because they’re run with an algorithm, and no humans recheck them. Additionally, they search multiple variations of the person’s name, even if they’ve never used another name. Every quick check I’ve had through sterling has pulled records for someone else, records I’ve had to dispute.
Now, if this involved checking references, sure. If it involved a human verifying felony records, sure. And I’m fine running the cheap check if care or a family pays for it. But I’m not paying for something that I know has made mistakes every time I’ve had it run.
