I’m in Los Angeles (where we had a recent spike in infections) and I am very, very cautious and devoted to social distancing. So are all the nannies I know. We love our little charges and don’t want them to get sick.

You can ask about the nanny’s protocols when you interview.

If you need a nanny hire a nanny. But you can't make her not see anyone. You can just hire a reasonable person that takes reasonable precautions.
We have had a nanny this whole time since dh and I both go to work. Our nanny is responsible. Does live with a roommate but otherwise socially distances and doesn't see friends etc.

My husband and I both work FT from home but after Labor Day it’s possible I may need to go in the office part time. Our DD is going into deck for grade. We are considering hiring help. WWYD? We have been practicing social distancing limiting interactions to essential trips (grocery store, a dentist busy for a cracked filling etc). If I have to go in to the office I don’t know what to do with DD while he works and I’m not in the house. If I go into my office I will drive and there will be precautions in place (wearing mask), six feet apart from others, no communal food/drinks).
