CAn you find a local photographer who can do a mini photo shoot (20 mins) from a distance so she has that to keep forever and show her family? Make a picture book out of it. I do that for all au pairs

I’m so sad our wonderful Au Pair is leaving. We have all gone to the beach for a few weeks as I was feeling horrible about keeping everyone cooped up for so long. We will be making her gifts and will give her cash.

The kids are making gifts. We are giving an extra week’s salary and a small gift (exercise equipment we know she liked because she used ours while she was here.)

Take some pictures that kids have made and make them into a keepsake (collage with their photos in a frame). You can make a mug with a family photo with her. Give her the choice about whether to use the mug with the extension family. Offer to ship it with the collage to her family now (less to have her worry about later).

Former ap here. A nice card signed by every one (who can write) with the promise to keep in touch, a sentimental gift from the kids and if you want to give something else cash us always appreciated when you're young and broke ...

Our lovely AP is leaving soon after a year together. She is extending with a local family so we will get to see her again.
I was wondering what we could do as goodbye present? Beside for Christmas when we gave her a present and some cash, we usually just give her extra cash for special events, we did gift cards a couple of times at the beginning but it took her forever to use them which is why we decided to just do cash going forward. Should we just give her cash again? anything else? thoughts?
