We lost one income and also felt it was unnecessary risk for her since I have flexible telework .
We gave two weeks severance and asked her to file unemployment. Once they lift restrictions she was interested in coming back so we will try to reinstitute once things are lifted a little

If you laid off your nanny, was it because you lost your employment? Or because you were uncomfortable having someone come into your home at this time?

2 weeks severance for ours. We’re not having her come back.

Mine quit herself. I paid her for 2 weeks anyway. And she can file for us insurance. She is happy to come back once there is good treatment or a vaccine but not before as her family is high risk.

How are you handling the situation?
Are you still paying severance pay, offering any vacation pay?
Offering her to come back? Any bonuses?
