Who the hell are you to decide what kind of people we are and how we would feel IF our children's nannies were to god forbid get sick or die? Go spew your negative feelings elsewhere.

Husband and I are expected to work full-time, so our nanny is still coming (and much needed.)

We cut back her hours, are not having her do any grocery runs or errands, and have asked her not to do her part-time jobs (Lyft and a few hours of caregiving for an Alzheimer's patient.) We are compensating her for 6 weeks of lost income from Lyft.

She has a roommate so is not a fully closed loop, but she is also exceedingly diligent about minimizing risk to the fullest extent possible. So we are comfortable with the level of risk. We cannot afford to not do our jobs and can't do full-time work and full-time childcare for our elementary age kids.

Nanny is still coming. We told her it was up to her, we would still pay her if she wanted to stay home.

We are still participating in our nanny share. Hoping to give her 2-3 weeks off as we approach the peak in Virginia.

It’s up to our nanny. We’ve given her the choice to stay home with pay or come to work. So far she wants to work. She lives alone and drives her own car to work. She is self-isolated but to come to our house. DH has been getting her groceries and cleaning supplies for her when he does our once-a-week shop. We are totally isolating (except for DH’s grocery run) so we have a closed system. DH and I are both working from home but my work is very slow.

Our nanny knows she can choose to stay home at any point. We’re keeping it fluid. But she loves my son and he loves her so much. It would be hard for both of them to be apart for long!

Are you having them continue to come or are you changing your mind as the pandemic spreads? (Of course will stay pay them).
