Ok thanks you guys for the pep talk. All of the sudden nannies are essential workers! Go nannies!

It’s hard not to see friends! I’ve started telling my newborn charge all about Netflix “Peaky Blinders” and my current feelings on the state of our country.

It won’t last forever, PP. we’re doing the right thing.

I’m lucky that I live alone and drive or walk to work. Both my employers are working from home so we do have a closed “loop” to protect each other and my charge. I’m also over 60 but under 65 so I’m not at risk but can take part in the “Seniors Only” grocery store hour at the store’s opening and shop for myself and my charge and his family.

Without a test (f you trump) none of us know that. But the best we can do is cut out all other social contact except of charge(s) and employer’s. I only hope the employers have the sense to do the same. I would not risk working for idiot parents who are continuing to socialize.

No, She means to close the loop by going from your home to employers home (no public transportation or uber - just own car). No seeing anyone else outside either immediate family.

... is “close the loop” (only be exposed to nanny-family) and keep working.

I write this as a nanny.

Unemployment is going to sky-rocket when this thing is over. Many nanny-employers are going to get laid off and lay off their nannies. If you have a good job, do everything in your power to keep it.

Obviously do do not stay in a position that is hazardous or dangerous to your health (parents ignoring the quarantine) or any disrespect.
