Please reference the link provided above. Runny nose is not a covid symptom and fever/shortness of breath are. Kids have family colds, nbd.

Runny noses are NOT symptoms of covid. It’s either flu or a cold. Unless you want to take sick leave, no, there’s no reason for you to stay home. But tell the family, so they can find another nanny.

You try having a professional job and caring for two kids. They hired you to care for their kids so they can work. If they cannot work, they cannot get their income to pay you. You are being absurd.

+1, you are being paid to be there and work in a private home. If you don't want to work, ask for leave without pay. Its near impossible for them to work with young kids at home. Most jobs require them to have child care.

Flu is a killer and infects probably at least 100 million in the states, and half of them don’t even get tested
Then there is the cold viruses out there and allergies are starting
I’m in nursing school- calm down people

Allergies.

Did anyone have a fever?

I am a nanny to twin toddlers & preschooler. All three children have runny nose,sneezing & coughing. I decided after being sneezed & coughed on multiple times on yesterday. After talking to parents & finding out they feel like they have colds also. I was not comfortable working until everyone symptoms went away. I also started feeling like I am catching a cold now. Both parents are working from home. I know it's going to be hard with their children trying to work. But the can take turns working & caring for children. It's recommended that if anyone feels sick they should stay home & away from non family members. Am I wrong to say I am uncomfortable working until no symptoms & everyone feels healthy? Am I wrong to still expect to be paid?
