If you are a nanny, do you care at all if you get cash vs. a check?

TIA.

Come on! Christmas is the same day every single year? You were not sick last week. You are either lazy or thoughtless, probably both.

I wouldn’t pick up cash a week ahead. I’d assume that I could pick it up closer to when I need it (knowing I would misplace it and find it sometime around Easter). If I got sick, I’d be in the boat with OP, so pay off.

OP, cash is king. Check is fine. 3rd party app works if you both have them/know how to do them. Transfer within the bank works too.

Mine too. Pay Pal is a mess. However I still use my bank’s site to pay everything.

Not the OP, but I don't have any of those apps and don't know how to use them. But I know exactly where my checkbook is (that I write one check per year from) and know how to use that.

That’s so sad.

No, it's not. But what IS sad is your desire to put someone down.

My Pay Pal account was hacked. I never use 3rd parties anymore. It's cash, check, or money order now.

And the unusual agreement is that a check is fine.

I'm not a big fan of giving or getting cash as gift. I prefer a gift card or a check. However, I'll be VERY thankful with whichever I get. A gift is a gift.

Venmo, PayPal, cash app, etc. All are easier than actual cash or check.

Your nanny knows you’ve been ill. I would be happy and grateful for a check under the circumstances.

I much prefer cash but under the circumstances I would certainly be more than fine with a check.

I wouldn't care- but I'm super easy going, plus I have my bank's app on my phone and can deposit it from home.

Normally I go to the bank and get cash for our nanny's year end gift. But I've been home sick the past couple days and haven't had a chance to get to the bank.

If you are a nanny, do you care at all if you get cash vs. a check?
