You cannot compare a working Nanny = a working Mother.

A Nanny is on the clock & will need to have household chores done + completed by a set time.
But a Mother can just do her chores when her child sleeps.

There is no timeline.

Baby may not sleep well at night, thus leaving Nanny too tired.
Also, if her baby is not a great napper she may be too preoccupied w/her baby that she will not be able to focus on getting your home in neat order.

I recommend you continue your search.

Are “working moms” with babies at home too tired to do their jobs??

I agree with the $20/hr. and you’ll be lucky.

This won't last. Your kids will get her infant sick and she'll wind up deciding to match with a family who has a similarly aged baby.

Err, my mom had 3 kids in 3 years and always kept a very clean house.

I wouldn't pay more than $12-14 as she has a young child and her focus will be on that child and not yours. She isn't going to be able to do household work with a young child.

It’s hard to find someone for just before and after care so I would be ok with someone bringing their kid if they were willing to work those hours. Do you have room for 3 car seats and have you discussed logistics?

$20 an hour. And just so you know, cleaning is more expensive than nannying per hour. Also I am assuming you want coverage for when your kids are sick or on school break.

I'm speaking to a nanny who is looking for a position where she could also bring her 6 month old child. My kids are 4 and 5 and I'm looking for flexible care before and after school and help with some household tasks while they are at school.

How much would you pay for a nanny who also brings their baby?
