Wow everyone seems confused with that text

They are not offering the Job; they are saying they would love to meet; with you and how you are around their kids and discuss in more detail the position and they decide if you are really a good fit for them. If not they have told you: it was very nice to meet you the other day and we would loveto offer you the Position. And then tells you " would you be able to come over sometime to hang out with the kids and discuss the position with you.

I think it is odd that they didn’t introduce their child to you during the interview.

So you basically were hired prior to them seeing how well you & their child get along.

Not my style of doing things, but keeping my fingers crossed that everything will work out in the end.

she is not asking you to do a trial. She’s asking you to come negotiate the contract and say hi to the kids. Maybe ask them about their Christmas wish list or offer to play a game, see their room, discuss things you hope to do with them etc—get the kids excited to spend time with you.

Agreed. That's what we did with DS' nanny. We didn't want to do a full trial but wanted to see how she interacted with DS. Basically spent 15 min discussing a contract with us and then spent 45 min (paid for 90 min) spending some time with DS just to see how it went. 3 years later and I'd say it was a good fit!

Yes, they are offering you the position but most likely contingent on your rapport with the children and contract specifics.

- hope you had a great weekend. We would love to discuss a position with you. Are you available this week to come by and work out details as well as spend more time with the kids?

What is that mean ? Is she offering me the position?
Or wants to trial ?
Please need advice
