We will definitely be giving her a cash gift, but I'd also like to include something a little more thoughtful/ personal - not huge, but between $50 and $100 in cost. She has been with us less than six months. She is older (over 65) and single. Any suggestions for a birthday gift? Some ideas that I have are: nice sweater, hat and glove combo, nice chocolates,... I am at a loss! Any nannies that received thoughtful gifts from their employers? (I don't really want to do a gift card)
My favorite gifts are a gorgeous wallet, a leather bag (cosmetic bag) with my name embossed on it, a picture frame with “I love my nanny” on it and a photo of my charge and me, and a bracelet with “thank you for helping me grow” inscribed inside.
I am an older nanny (64) and wouldn’t like a sweater or article of clothing (except the mittens and scarf which is a sweet idea).
