Actually, no. I'm not a nanny. However, I was pointing out the inaccuracies in some of the previous posts.
If I need to explain it: I was stating that the majority of the posts on this forum are negative and meant as a vent/to ask for advice. Similarly, most posts in the relationship forums are about unhappy marriages, or miserable in-laws, etc. It does not portray an accurate representation of the real world. Thanks though.
Of course nannies from all over can post here. But several times I've seen posts that (for example) nannies make x amount of money per hour, plus benefits blah blah...and then it's later revealed that the nanny isn't in the area. That isn't helpful when the OP is in DC and asking about DC rates.
And here is an example of the people these nannies work for...

I am a nanny in Southern California and maybe it’s different here than in DC. I never see the bad nannies on their phones as constantly reported on DCUM. I see nannies, both foreign-born and American, on the floor of the library playroom playing with all the kids; nannies engaged and laughing with their charges in parks; nannies who clearly love their charges.
