Anyway, my best advice is do not argue with her - simply do not engage her at all when she starts. Use phrases like “I’m sorry you see it that way” and “I understand what you’re saying”. “Point taken” is good too.
But I highly encourage you to get out of this job. Your employer “dismissed you” today - she pulled a power trip and sent you away. That is not acceptable. By you staying in this job you are telling her and yourself that this is how you deserve to be treated.

I get it. But I usually take into consideration other variables like My bonus is 2 months away and they are generous. Plus I have been with them for 4 years, know them for 10 (it was an assistant position that morphed into nanny/family manager) and I will need the reference so quitting on the spot is not an option. Even if I didnt want the reference I would probably still not ever do that because I do not burn bridges unless really really necessary. I am def leaning towards quitting but after bonus and with proper notice.
