When we were matching we described to our current au pair that we eat a low-carb diet and usually provide starch for the kids for dinners and that they have a normal diet. For some reason she doesn't seem to get it and keeps buying foods we don't want to eat. I've tried to be kind but she'll whip out some rice or potato dish that she wants us to try and I don't want to be rude but I say "oh, this is one of those foods we don't eat regularly but thanks for the treat" or similar. But she keeps doing it. How do others handle this??
