Au pair (before I finish): "I always clean up, this is the first time that's happened" (which is not true).
How do we tell her to take feedback in a better, less combative manner because this kind of attitude is just irritating.
Let her know that constructive feedback is a part of the job and that would like her to be open to feedback. That's one way were grow and improve. Let her know that you observed that she gets defensive when you are giving her feedback. You would like her to be reflective and take corrective action when needed.
Please tell her when she is doing thing well also this may help her to be more receptive.
BTW Crumbs drive me CRAZY and it's not ok to just brush the off and let them fall on the floor
