How do we tell her to take feedback in a better, less combative manner because this kind of attitude is just irritating.
Let her know that constructive feedback is a part of the job and that would like her to be open to feedback. That's one way were grow and improve. Let her know that you observed that she gets defensive when you are giving her feedback. You would like her to be reflective and take corrective action when needed.
Please tell her when she is doing thing well also this may help her to be more receptive.
BTW Crumbs drive me CRAZY and it's not ok to just brush the off and let them fall on the floor

I would have to agree with this. As long as she does what you tell her to do, I would let go of her defensiveness.

Keep on telling her when you see something that needs to be addressed. And let it go of small things that you can live with.
She won't change, you have to go around it and not let it bother you
