Not the issue. OP should never have to remind her employer to pay her or wait one second beyond the agreed upon time. If Friday, for example, is payday then you are paid before you leave work at the end of your day on Friday. No exceptions and no excuses.
But you’re right about OP needing to drop the judgement on the mother. That is not her job or purview.
People get busy. They have jobs, kids, their own lives. Its very easy to forget. Send her a reminder the night before documenting the hours work and the total amount. Simple. Many professionals submit a timesheet. Be a "professional" instead of a child having a temper tantrum. Friday ends at midnight, not the end of the work day.

Anonymous wrote:Like what in the world? For 2 years mb always wrote me a check for any hours worked overtime when she would calculate it on Friday. My guaranteed pay of 40 hours is direct deposited. However they ran out of checks months ago and since she has been using a transfer method between our banks which is fine with me. Thing is she was very good about doing it in front of me before I’d leave but now she is pulling this “I’ll send the money as soon as I get them settled, have a good weekend!” Crap. The last 2 times she said this to me I told her I preferred if she did it then. They don’t go to bed until 8/8:30 and when I leave at 6 she has no idea what I need to do with my money.
I just find it a bit presumptuous of her to assume it’s ok to send it at her convenience. I always have between 10-15 hours of OT by Friday and just because some of my pay is dd doesn’t mean I may not need access to the rest immediately. I couldn’t imagine being so rude to someone that takes care of my kids 50-60 hours a week! She doesn’t know anything about my finances. It’s like the longer I work for this family the more comfortable and ungrateful they become instead pof appreciative. I’m planning on quitting after the holidays because I have earned my bonus and really enjoy this time with the kids but this and other things have just become the last straw!
