I am a former AP.

I don't think you should give her a bonus ... so that she perfoms her JOB. She should already do all these things.

I would have a talk with her as the school year starts and give your "rules". Maybe create a new handbook.

Ask her what needs to be done and let go of the little things that bug you and that you can live with.

AP just matched with her extension year family. We have 4 months to go. We are starting the school year when there's no buffer for drop off/pick up delays. I think AP would be motivated by performance based bonus. Things I'd like to see: reliability with drop off and pick up, good communication with me, patience with the kids, and actively engaging the kids and getting them to be physically active in their limited before/after school time. Would welcome suggestions for
what a reasonable bonus would be, and how to clearly lay out the expectations on my end that go along with bonus.
