Why is this a drama? Thank you for your interest, but the minimum amount per hour I can accept is $22. I'm sorry that I am not able to work for the amount you are able to pay.

She wanted to have the last word.
It's terrible working for people like that ...
It's good you dodged that bullet.

She was just too much and since I declined, there was no need for her to continue to contact me. I already explained myself, and was very clear; she explained herself and was very clear, so why are you still typing messages. I didn’t need her writing any reviews or anything on my care page, so I just blocked her, so it wouldn’t get ugly.

You post on DCUM yet you’re surprised people will defend their bad behavior to the death even when they’re obviously wrong?

Her behavior was a huge red flag. Glad you blocked her.

Right and don’t get upset because your price doesn’t work for someone move on to the other candidates.

Agree. They should’ve put their children in daycare.

because I told her that her rate wasn’t feasible and I thanked her for letting me know upfront. Then, she went on to say how others are fine with the rate and if they paid anymore than that, they should just send their children to daycare. While it may work for others, $12-15 for a 3 month old and a 22 month old for 35 hours per week is low; I make $22 for 2 children now and that’s what I started with. Also, most the families I’ve worked for pay more for a nanny for the flexibility, child to adult ration and the convenience. But I’m trying to figure out why you are going back and fourth with me, when I nicely declined to a phone interview? And I understand that different areas have different rates and I also understand that everyone’s income isn’t the same and that’s ‘why’ you either can’t or choose not to pay. I’m not mad, I’m respectfully declining so that no ones time is wasted here. I had to block her because I saw she was typing again... WTF lol get over it. Move on with the other nannies you claim are fine with the rate. That was also a red flag for me, like the nannies you may be attracting may not have the same responsibilities/bills as me. They also might not have the number of years and training etc., so to say others are okay with the rate without knowing my background is crazy.

I know you guys are tired of seeing these types of post but that’s what this forum is for and I just needed to vent lol.... on to the next!
