I’m confused too. I would NEVER agree to anything of the sort. They pay you for the time they need, with guaranteed hours. When they want additional coverage, they ask you if you’re available and pay you accordingly. Don’t over complicate it and don’t put yourself in a position where you end up owing them a lot of your free time. Nope, not a chance.
