My AP took her vacation near the end. She came back and worked 3 weeks before her year was up. All the transitions were hard for my kids (in and out and in and out...) and she kinda checked out when she returned. Blech - I don't recommend allowing what we allowed.

Wow that sounds great! Then you schedule new AP to come in overlapping outgoing AP and not scramble for coverage.

Yes, that's what our first AP did. Don't know how she lasted all year without a vacation, but she was excellent and enjoyed her last two weeks.

As long as it's mutually agreed upon by you and her, then she can take it whenever.

First timer here. I know the agency encourages the AP to take a week if vacation during first 6 months and second week during final half, but our AP wants to save it all up for the end - I have given a few extra vacation days for long weekend trips so far....wondering if she can save it till the end? I am okay with either way. Thank you!
