OP here. I’m going to pass on the offer today. Thanks for the responses. Right or wrong, I have to go with my gut feeling.

I bet it was more than “weird” for your poor sister.

Not at all. Eventually her pictures went up and my mom even put up a lot of pictures of other family members. She’s the favorite daughter anyway so no not weird.

Yeah. Red flag!

You’re employed to care for and teach this child they see as not much more than a reflection of them. Apeople like that are generally insecure. It doesn’t bode well, OP - not for a nanny job.

Hmmm.... I do smell definite narcissistic tendencies - especially that they don’t display a photograph of their child without them.

I honestly don’t know, OP. It would probably put me off a friend you had a home decorated with that much “art” of themselves.

Please don’t flame me. I have never seen a house like this before.

The couple have a 3 yr old and a newborn. Every single wall is covered with large photographs of the couple - some with their older child and some with just the couple. There is not one photo that I saw with the three year old alone - always couched between the parents or with one parent. Neither parent is particularly good looking - very average of that. And I mean every wall and table has pictures.

I checked out the mother’s social media and all posts about her 3 yr old reference back to her. “Like mother like daughter”, “Could this be my child?!” - stuff like that.

Just please tell me kindly if I am reading too much into this or if they are narcissists and I should stay away.

Thanks!
