Bad work week equals one parent is away for a week so needing extra hours in the evening to help (would be negotiated in advance).
Poor helpless you who is incapable of taking care of her own three kids in the evening for a few hours? Why would a nanny want to spend her evenings taking care of your kids while you do nothing and she has already spent her day with them.

Our nanny doesn’t have a degree in child education but she is amazing and loving. She isn’t expected to do any housework except put away the kids laundry and pick up after them (well, have them pick up after themselves as best she can). She does put away the dishes too and take out full trash but we don’t ask her to do this. I think she’s slightly underpaid for the summer since we have the baby factor but going into the school year 2 of them will be in school until 3:30 every day so she will definitely make out then.
For what she does, she is grossly underpaid and you are just using her and taking advantage of her good nature. You do not need a college degree to take good care of children.

I’d say just require nanny to pick up after baby and kids. I would say no laundry. Also what time does baby nap and what time is pick up? Think of pick up would interfere would baby’s nap. Do you
And what do you mean “bad work week”?
