OP, generally $20-30 but with your specific situation I would say around $25. Most nannies have a set rate that they will not go below based on your needs and household environment combined with their experience and education.

What you outline sounds like a pretty standard nanny job. Our nanny helps with all errands/chores related to the children: taking them to enrichment classes/baby gym, laundry/making food for kids, cleaning bottles/baby gear, tidying the areas she and the kids use. She does a small grocery run during the week (mainly to top up kid food and get her own lunches) and occasionally other kid supplies if something's running low or needed urgently. Some people pay a bit more to have nanny do additional housekeeping duties, but I wouldn't recommend it for 3 kids including an infant full-time. Nanny won't have time to do all of it consistently, so you'd be better off getting a separate cleaning person a few hours a week if needed.
We guarantee hours for a "usual" workweek and pay extra for additional hours as needed for work, travel, date nights, etc.

It’s a tough job with the pick-ups and juggling older kids after school and sick days/holidays. A good nanny could easily get a position with just one infant and earn $20 to $25 an hour.

Our nanny does everything for our child - her laundry, homemade baby food, cleaning and picking up toys, etc. Absolutely no Housekeeping.

We have three kids, ages 5, 3, and 7 months and are considering hiring a nanny to watch the baby at home and help pick up the two older kids and watch them after school gets out around 3pm until 5:15. They are at two different schools for now but both pick ups are close by, possibly walking distance from house. Nanny would have the use of our car and we would add her to the insurance.

I’m interested in the range people pay nannies for a job like this. Are there other things the nanny helps with for the rate you pay? Do you also hire her to do extra hours during bad work weeks or when a parent is traveling? We have always used daycare but three drop offs and pick ups is just brutal.

I’m sure I’m not the only one in this situation but I can’t seem to find any recent posts on this (apologies if I just missed the thread, I’d love the link if it exists).
