How does that work? How does one find the right agency fit? I really like our LCC and she is very local - I don't think there are other agencies active in my local area...is there a good way to sleuth out what other au pair agencies have solid networks locally? (I am outside of DC a few hours). Thank you!

If you are having safety issues, its time to rematch whether you can find another au pair immediately or not.

You can rematch with an extension au pair or even an out of country au pair - all depending on availability. You would need to pay the difference.

Talk to your LCC - they will make you go through some meetings, etc. before allowing you to rematch anyway. You can at least start the process. Our LCC is great and was a good resource for trying to find other au pairs. They often know good rematch au pairs before they are in the system.

I would only match with a good candidate. Don't settle.
You can match with an extension if the timing works. I have done this before when in rematch.
I have also looked at different agencies. Absolutely.

If you’re open to a BP there is a strong one in the rematch pool now whose HF is leaving the program due to financials.

Hello. With CC and considering rematch due to safety issues, forgetfulness on certain safety issues (despite having it in writing pinned to fridge in 2 languages...)

However, CC rematch pool is looking very small. When deciding to rematch, do you basically wait until there's at least one candidate that looks good or do you just go forward and ?? Can rematch be done with an extension au pair? Has anyone switched agencies during rematch? How does that work?

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
