If someone takes the job they offer, they are entitled to a nanny.

Anonymous wrote:$16 an hour is a reasonable wage. Just because the parents are high earners based on their skill set, does not mean the nanny should be overpaid. Most are not focused on their kids and therefore the little details don't really matter to them. And, some may have far less than you realize once they pay for the fancy house, cars, etc.

Op here is your answer right here.
Some fools honestly think $16/hr is a good wage. They refuse to believe they are just actually just cheap and should be looking into other forms of childcare. They feel they are entitled to a nanny and love to tell ppl they have one.
Its unskilled labor, $16 an hour is reasonable. IF you want more money, then get an education and a job in a higher paying field. Its not cheap. One has to have a job, pay taxes, and all that other stuff, then work expenses on top of the nanny salary. Can you easily make $60 an hour to cover that? Clearly no.
Then why hire a nanny instead of daycare? Or home daycare? Or stay at home? A nanny isn’t meant to be a cheap form of childcare bc you want one. IF all you can afford is $16/hr then you need to go back to school and find a higher paying job so you can actually afford a nanny. IF after all your bills you cannot afford the lifestyle you think you are entitled too, then you need to scale back and live within your means. Sounds like you want something you cannot afford and are pissed others can.
umm daycare is not cheap. It may be less expensive than a Nanny but that doesnt make it cheap.
