Most are in rematch, most for good reason (meaning you likely wouldn't want them taking care of your infant). Some are truly in rematch for "personality conflicts" but mostly that is used as an universal excuse that won't bar the family nor the aupair from rematch. The agencies make more money on rematch fees so they strive to rematch rather than sending the aupair back (especially prior to the six month mark when they also have to pay a refund). If you do not rematch, you are likely out money.
So there are some extra rematch fees? how does that work?
There are no extra fees associated with rematch. We did it recently. If you chose someone from outside the country, you will end up paying more, but that is because they are coming for 12 months and not for the X months you have left with your rematch au pair.
