Sorry, but I am a Nanny & take issue that most in my field are “incompetent.”

Elaborate please.

No one said most nannies are incompetent. However, most “nannies” using care to find jobs are incompetent. Clear now?

NP. I agree with that clarification.

The care “background check” has always been a joke. Their business model now means either the nanny or the parents have to pay to communicate, which no one wants to actually do, since many “parents” are scams and many “nannies” are incompetent.

I have always stated that Care.com@ is just a glorified version of the childcare section.

ANY + EVERYone can post an advertisement on there & claim whatever they want.
They can call themselves “Professional Nannies” even if they just babysat their little brother once or twice.

They can fudge years of experience & even set up false references to speak too.

It is not an innovative concept whatsoever.
It just fools parents into believing that they are similar to an agency - but for much, much less.

I think it needs a brand-new plan altogether.

Supposedly this only applies to daycares. But it sounds like maybe nannies were caught in the purge?
