Have you thought about putting the kids into camp at all (even a half day program) to lighten the load a bit? It might help muddle through?

It is prorated - so with 4 months left you get like 40-50% of just those 4 months if you left the program. If you get a new AP I think it applies at 100% of the remaining time, at least it used to.

I thought we still get a credit of program fees for the unused months because of the rematch, just not a refund.

For example, AP has 5 months left on her year, so we go into "rematch" in a month after we get close to a match now for an ooc arrival. Wouldn't we still get 4 months of credit for the remaining months?

And yes, we'd gladly do that with our frustrating AP if we found someone who could start before our current APs end date. I wouldn't exactly called it a planned rematch, though.

What agency are you with?

Our AP has been driving me nuts for months—she barely goes out, does not communicate well, and is mediocre for childcare.

Our LCC recently came over and we had a reset conversation.

I’m not confident AP can handle the summer and she’s not supposed to leave until the end of summer. We’ve already started searching for our next AP. It occurred to me that I can simply search for the beginning of summer rather than our actual end date with current AP.

Has anyone pulled the plug on an AP in the last six months when you’re able to access the system to search for a new one ASAP (rather than being restricted to a two week time period for rematch)?
