OP here: Just to clarify, I would never expect the nanny to clean up after me. I would, however, expect the nanny to clean up after my children when they are in her charge. The nanny I interviewed very clearly stated that it was not part of her responsibilities, thus "the development nanny" comment (and she came with rave reviews and impressive credentials)
