Yup! This is good! I’m not pro gun, and I’m also not anti gun but I am pro gun information. My DH enjoys shooting, when we first started dating he gave me a info session on guns. And I feel way more comfortable around them now. (OP, I’m like you, it’s too loud and big for me). I’m a firm believer that a car can be more dangerous than a gun, if the gun is in correct hands of some one and is stored safely.
While I do understand your MB concerns about the gun issue, she asked you about it and you said nothing was to come of it. If she contuines to make side remarks about it, say “well it was a one time thing, nanny friend and I tried it and it just isn’t fun for us. We thought it would be a good way to be informed on gun safety, and you know I would never do any thing to harm the children”
I think people fear what they don’t know.
