Why would she ask you about specific things happening during your day that she would have no way of knowing without cameras? It’s just creepy the way you say she brought it up.

You don’t even have to ask if you are being watched. You know the answer. The next logical step is to think about whether you’re okay working with both cameras and an employer who’s a little weird and probably untrustworthy.

I’m not sure how I feel about that. Cameras are understandable, but she should have told you. Also, casually mentioning things like that is, again, erring on the side of creepy. Your call, OP!

Confronting your employer about something like this will never end well. Save yourself the drama. Get a new job and quit.

Camera - most cameras except for maybe hidden ones that are designed for it have a glow light. Ours have a green light when on.

It is highly likely there is a hidden camera in the house & that you are being filmed w/out your knowledge.

I would do as the other posters advised -
Next time it happens, ask her directly if there are hidden cameras installed within the home.

If she says there are not, then she is a liar + give her your walking papers.
Trust me, you do not want to work for someone who lacks the fundamentals of basic integrity.

If she admits that yes, indeed there are Nanny Cams in the house, then I would definitely ask her why she failed to offer full disclosure from the start.
If she has a perfect excuse for being deceptive from the beginning then it is entirely up to you if her betrayal is something that you can forgive.

I would wait until something like that happens again and then directly ask. Personally, I don’t mind cameras but would be livid and would quit if I were being watched without my knowledge. Kids pull in your clothing (down and up) I use the bathroom with the door open, etc. That would be a serious breach of trust.

Next time something like that happens ask them how they know and if they have cameras.

Family I nanny for has never disclosed any cameras, but weird things are happening. Kids are too young to talk too much, both under 2. I will do things like build fort in living room with blankets, but I always clean up. Mom will come home and ask how was it building the fort today? I will ask how did you know? She will say something like, lucky guess. Another time on Valentines Day, I made the milk pink and she says, wouldn’t it be cute if I made their milk pink for dinner. I casually look for a camera but I don’t see or. Now I feel like I’m being watched all day. Don’t really care if I am but should I mention something?
