How do they handle the credit for the class we paid for for the au pair who is going home?
Unfortunately, you will have to pay it again for the new AP. AS far as I know, no credits there.
Well, I am not doing that. I will pay for the new au pair class - but I will deduct that from the agency's extended payment "finance" charges. It's not my fault the au pair decided she wanted to go home.
If you get a new au pair, you will have to pay for their education up to $500, minus any education taken at another family's house (if rematch). If new OOC, you have to pay another $500. Tough shit on you. Unfair to new au pair for previous au pair's misdeeds.
If you are with APIA, you get "credit" for education but it's against the rematching au pair not against future au pairs. Ask your LCC about the calculation SS.
With APIA, but rematching OOC. I will not pay finance charges, if they do not issue credit for education. It’s not my fault - and I’m not eating it for them. They can keep the au pairs deposit, and pass thru to me.
