Exit interviews should be requested of ALL au pairs when they're done.

I have my AP +5 friends here now for the super bowl. Who cares what they are not crashing/hanging at your place. I would ask about the kids and what worked; I would consider them not hanging out at your house as a good sign (for you).

We learn different things from different APs, and sometimes the info we learn is contradictory to what precious APs said, but we always try to understand how we can be a better Hf to each of our APs.

OP here, I do this all the time as well, but sometimes people don't give certain feedback if they think their feedback will not be incorporated but they might be willing to give them when they are leaving.

Haha, that is a good one! why didn't she buy a new phone herself! my AP has a better phone than I do, which got stolen and she bought a new one. She doesn't have a lot of money but having a nice phone is important to her, so she save a weekly stipend for that.

My first AP is leaving soon and I am wondering how I could better myself as a HM, so I was thinking of asking her some feedback, do HF do that?
For example I noticed that she always hangout at her other AP friends house but they never come to our house to hangout, they come for a short visit etc but not to hangout and I wonder why and I am planning to ask her that. She is mature and we have a good communication, I hope she will give her honest feedback or maybe not ..
