It’s not often it’s every time we have inclement weather and the agency is closed. Last year we had about 2 snow days and a wind storm that shutdown both federal and dc government. And the year before that we had snow days which is why we created an inclement weather policy in the first place as they were not being consistent with the protocol. It’s quite annoying but thank goodness for a contract to back me up.

Well good thing I don’t work for them! And that’s not what our contract says, so apparently you need to look up the definition as well.

Op here. Wow! I thought I was the only one. What pisses me off (excuse my language) is we only do the back & forth when they think I can still commute regardless if the agency is close- that’s not how that works. I did remind them about our contract this morning and have not responded. I just felt taken advantage of this am and I’m always trying to be flexible because of their jobs but not anymore. So I will send them a screen shot of the status (when closed) and go back to bed.

To pp, we follow DC government, which, NEVER closes and that’s why I think they chose to go by this agency (they don’t work for DC government). So when it does close it must not be good outside and I start my commute at 6AM to get there at 7:30AM.

I experience the same dynamic with the same weather inclement clause every single time too.
