This is OP. Thanks for the responses! I'll go with 100% and $20.

100% and a $20 giftcard are very nice and thoughtful from you. As a sitter I wouldn't expect anything.

1. Yes, that’s perfect.

2. $20?

I have two questions.

1. We have a date night/temp sitter who used to help us more. She used to come two date nights per month as well as did occasional daytime sitting when our nanny went on vacation. In the past, I gave her about 150% of what she would earn for a date night. This past year, she has not done any daytime sitting because she's pretty much no longer available, and has been coming less than once a month for date nights. Having said that, I think we will start having her come once a month again. How much would you give her as a holiday bonus? Maybe just 100% of a typical date night?

2. The main reason we are going to ask her to babysit monthly again is because she's been bringing her 10 YO daughter along lately and our 4 YO DD LOVES playing with her. I told our sitter that I wanted to give her daughter a Christmas gift and asked for a suggestion and she said "Michael's gift card." What would be an appropriate amount for a 10 YO in these circumstances? She's not my daughter's sitter and she comes maybe about half the time with the sitter.
