Best to not post nasty responses. There are plenty of AP's on here along with those we with plenty of experience with APs.

I never buy them.
They are ugly and garish and who gives an eff about it.

Buy a more personalized ornament (picture frame ornament from michaels of her and the kids) and the year and give that.

Not what the White House ornaments are about. They are history-based, but probably not as suitable for an AP as a area or landmark ornament, if you want to go that route. I think a more personalized with a family/AP photo would be better.

Paper Source and Target both have an adorable cork board American Map x-mas ornament that your AP could put pins into to remind her of where she visited. That's one of our stocking stuffers for our ap

I don’t know how much an ap would be interested in an ornament celebrating Truman. Most of our au pairs have known next to nothing about American history.

I’d just get a generic dc one, maybe get in inscribed with her name and kids names and the year. They should have them at Christmas markets. We live in a different city and do this, finding an ornament that depicts a famous landmark.

Thinking about one as a small Christmas keepsake for AP. Does whoever is actually President matter to APs? Is this ornament political at all?

AP loves Christmas and holiday decorations, so it wouldn’t be totally out of the blue to give her an ornament...
