You are not this child's parent and you're love is different. You are not being realistic with your position in the family and to this child. You are an employee. Yes, you care for the child and probably do a great job, but at the end of the day, they are the parents and you cannot expect them to consider you as an equal, friend or family. Not trying to be harsh, but this is your job.
