Yes, I just got off. It was a hard day with employers and visiting grandparents in the house. The grandparents have no interest whatsoever in my charge despite the amount of times my employers tried to get them interested in him. It was just a crowded struggle all day.

Luckily, my DH is home cooking! Family and friends coming over. I will say a prayer of thanks for my sweet and perfect little charge as well as my families health and happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Nope.

My families let me off early today and I’ll have tomorrow and Friday off as well.

+1. The first year of holidays are the hardest. You are smart to work. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Yep our nanny is. The nanny is not American so doesn't personally care about Thanksgiving, DH is in trial and I am slammed at work. So we will be working all day. Thus, so will the nanny.

I know a nanny who works for a very wealthy and high profile family and she has to work until 5 (she usually works until the child is in bed at 7).

It sucks. Both of the parents will be home as well as a set of grandparents.

I am off now and for the four day weekend but two nanny-friends are working on Thanksgiving and Friday.
