This. Of course you should bring it to her attention, in a non-accusatory way. Yes, he will hear worse but should not be taught it from his sitter.

If she had only said it once or twice in jest, then I wouldn’t make a huge deal out of it.

Because if you mention it to her, she may start to feel that you are nitpicking + possibly micromanaging her which will definitely switch the dynamic around.
And not in a good way.

Just let your son know that you do not want him saying the particular word anymore and leave it at that.
Perhaps he will mention this to his Nanny & she will make a concentrated effort to stop using the term too.

Better to sit him down and tell him that while he can always ask you what bad words mean, you don’t want him saying words like that.

How old is your son? If this is an after school job, I assume your son is at least 6 years old. If sucks is the worst word he has used, consider yourself lucky. Kids are going to pickup a more questionable vocabulary as they get older, it’s just a fact. If your sitter is using profanity in front of your son, then that is a problem.

We have an after school sitter. She's great but very young in her ways for a 34 yr old.
The past week DS keeps saying "It sucks!" I asked where he learnt it and he said "Jane taught me".
Should I mention it? It was said during an imaginary game they were playing together but DS is saying it all the time now and I need nanny to be more mindful of what she is saying around him.
