This describes my best au pair who was only a couple years younger. Had a dull white collar job in Europe.

Too pathologically bored to google "aupair age limit"? You might want to consider going a different route. But here, I googled that for you

Consider teaching English abroad instead if you have a degree. Child care, unless you are really suited to it, can be very, very boring. And living with a host family is fraught with other risks you don't need to take at your age. Live independently if you can.

Do you have a degree? There are a few countries that welcome Americans with a college degree for a year of work and travel. I am not sure how recently you have to have graduated, and I think the age cutoff might be 30. You can start here: https://www.goabroad.com/articles/jobs-abroad/work-abroad-after-graduation

When I was 22 and just finished college, I au apaired in Australia. There are not agencies, so you have to do all the leg work yourself. I ended up with a so-so family, but had a wonderful yearlong experience!

I am not sure about age cut-off in other countries, but I know of people who went to Europe for a year and they enjoyed their time there.
