While two weeks is industry minimum, most families need more than two weeks to do an adequate search, and this parent had zero warning that this was possible, let alone imminent. It’s highly possible that they will get a temp from mpr or another agency and search while trying to work from home. What does your contract say about notice?
Doubt it. this is only the 4th week of school for the year, so kids already went through that adjustment and now another is coming.
Are you really starting at this "new job" in 2 weeks time or can you push that to a month and help your current job better?

I am dreading tomorrow as I’ll be giving my 2 weeks notice. I know this isn’t nearly enough time to find a suitable replacement. However, this job offer is much better for me in order to advance my career.
Has anyone been in the same boat? What do I say? I have my BA and when I was hired I told MB I wanted to be a nanny long term, but now things are different. Any tips/advice on what to say?
