MB didn’t require it. I don’t ever get it except When I was a Teachers assistant I did have to keep up with the tDap, TB, and flu shot. School requirements. If MB asks me to get it though I definitely would.

Yes, my employers require it. I knew it going into the job as they posted it in their ad. It’s a good practice to get it regardless.

No, but so just got it today with both parents at my charges wellness visit to her pediatrician! I would have gotten it anyway.

Same. We require it annually and made it clear upfront.

MB here. I only required it when we had newborns, but recommended it thereafter. I paid for health insurance, so I knew it was covered.

No but I just did anyway. I missed the flu shot last year and got the flu bad - two weeks in bed - and felt horrid. I also used all my PTO for the year which sucked big time.

My Nanny family didn’t tell me when I was initially hired, but asked me since their child doesn’t have a spleen (thus for him to catch the flu can be mortal) & I didn’t mind at all since my health insurance covered it.

I heard that it is recommended (highly!) that everyone get one for this upcoming flu season.

Never asked but always get the flu shot. Was required to show tDAP and measles v proof at hiring.

Yes. My employers are both doctors and a flu vaccine is required in my job. So was tDAP when my charge was a newborn.

I have noticed this in a couple Nanny position postings.

Nannies, is your job contingent on the yearly flu vaccine?

(I get the flu shot every year so this is not a thread about anti-vaccine or pro-vaccination. I am just wondering if proof of vaccine is common.)
