When you go through an agency the trial is always paid. If you want to be treated like a professional, act like one. Don't start a job worked for free!

Because I prefer to look at the big picture and not buckle and dime potential employers for a position I very much wanted. It worked for me.

And yes - if you are auditioning with employers for a job you think is perfect, I would decline payment for two hours. That is precisely what I am saying. A nanny can also learn a lot about employers if they don’t offer - a definite red flag.

Try to ask them prior to doing the trial just to make sure you are all on the same page.
