+1. I take my charge and it is an excellent teaching opportunity.

I batch make purees or freeze extra food I cook for the kids.
Once they were in school, I did 1 of the 2 grocery shops for perishables a week. The MB did the weekend, larger one.

Personally, no, but I certainly don’t think there is a right or wrong answer to this scenario.

I don’t shop for groceries, but I do warn MB and DB when they’re short on something. If I did the grocery shopping it would just be easy for me to make sure there’s enough for the weekend, but since I don’t it’s not my problem

I'm assuming your charges have parents and those parents have eyes to look.

Milk, yes. But not any weekend meal planning.

I am responsible for 100% of my charges’ food. The only thing parents do on weekends is like cut up a carrot or something.

We are not responsible for that but since we take care of these things during the week it only makes sense to warn the parents if they're going to run out of something

I always make sure there is milk and other staples for the weekend. I market with my charge on Mondays and Thursdays but don’t plan her dinners on the weekend.

Heck to the no.
That is the parent’s job.
