Personally, as a nanny, I never give my charges screen time regardless of what the parents do or approve of. I just make it a rule and my charges never ask for it when they are with me.
+1. I am a career nanny. I use my phone briefly for things throughout the day, like looking up a sign for an ittem. I use my phone while eating lunch (now), but very rarely allow older charges to watch tv. How old is your charge, OP?
My current charge is now 2.5 and I have never felt the need to use the phone with the exception of getting directions a few times. Everything else is when my charge is napping. When she stops napping, I will have to do it during her “quiet time”.
