Yes, I also remember a similar post but from a MomBoss’s perspective.

Keep it civil.
Then kindly ask this family via email if they would please remove it.
Maybe they were angry in the moment, but have calmed by now.

Are you sure they blocked you? Can you respond to the review? From what you’ve shared it sounds like the parents were true procrastinators and you did nothing wrong.

If you can respond to the review I would do that right away, so you can cover yourself and hopefully, potential families will see those parents for who they are— and still give you a shot if you’re what they’re looking for.

You could respond with something like....

Dear Mr. Smith

It was a pleasure meeting with you and your family, and I was truly excited to begin taking care of your children when you offered me the position. I tried to contact you several times when you sent over my contract via email, after noticing a few typos, in addition to some questions I had. Unfortunately, I was unable to get in touch with you and I have not heard from you (or wife) for (enter days/ weeks) and therefore, I had to seek other employment.

I wish you and your family the best in your search for a nanny.

P.s you dodge a bullet with this family! It sucks they left a negative review when clearly they were wrong but you didn’t want to work for those people.

I was in talks with a family about a position. I got an offer on the spot, accepted the position later that day, and then issues started happening. They didn’t meet their proposed deadlines, and didn’t check references for two days after. When they did, they had issues reaching one ( lives in another country now), but I immediately rectified the situation. Time went by ( 1.5 weeks) with zero attempts to contact references ( though they said they wanted to talk to one more before they sent a final contract), which put in a bad place since they set aside days to talk to her. Then I made attempts to contact, without a response. I sent a final text explaining my concern, and they immediately sent over a contract. There was a typo, so I didn’t sign it. Two days later and they still hasn’t responded to correct the offer typo, so I rescinded my offer. The dad called that evening, but I was at a dinner and couldn’t pick up, which I told him. Now I noticed they wrote a bad review on the nanny website. When I tried to reach them, I learned that they blocked me. I don’t feel I didn’t anything to warrant this. I gave them over a week to get things in order, and only backed out once I felt there wasn’t anything else to do. Now I have a bad review and can’t cintact the parents to remove i5z
