Easier (because kids entertain each other) would be $10 more. Harder would be double my hourly rate plus applicable overtime. Your situation would likely be harder, with one older and one younger, and figuring out bedtimes/sleeping arrangements. So, for you, I'd budget $22 each family, overtime from you if applicable.

Absurd. Would YOU agree to do this? At least double her regular rate!

You ask the nanny if she is willing to do this and how much she will charge.

I'd pay something in the neighborhood of her overtime rate, then rounded up. So maybe $35/hr.

There would not be enough money for this. Other family should hire their own babysitter at their house. You are ridiculous.

The standard is each family pays 2/3-3/4 of nanny's hourly rate. A deal for you guys and more money for her.

If your nanny says no, your neighbor would need to hire her own sitter, so she should pay the same rate as if she were hiring her own sitter for the night.

I think you need to ask her. I wouldn’t do a group rate, unless everyone is related.
