MB/DBs are so bad at thinking of themselves as bosses.

No, I would not apply for that position for the red flags already noted.

They can’t afford a nanny.

Keeping the pay “affordable” means that they likely wouldn’t pay me for OT or paid holidays or time off.
I highly doubt I would receive any bonuses or benefits.

And like another PP stated....
I really do not care the reason why they are on a budget.

No three-year-olds are easygoing. I have two and they are amazing and smart and caring and sweet and can be absolute monsters. Our nanny said she hated parents who thought their children could do no wrong. This woman sounds like that. The whole post screams stay away, but that's one part no one else mentioned.

The feeding the baby thing will only be an issue for a few more months so that wouldnt bother me. I would at least talk to them and see what the job entails, and I would expect they pay until 5pm every day. They may be super flexible in other areas, or be ok with someone bringing their own child for example.

I wouldn’t consider applying for much of the same reasons as the PP. They aren’t going to pay well based on their careers and her mentioning, “looking to keep it affordable.”

I’m also uncomfortable with her dropping in mid day. I have a schedule I put my charges on and I like to plan outside activities. This sounds like they expect you to be in the house all day.

No. I would skip this listing. Red flags are the between 4 and 5 end of day (they don’t understand guaranteed hours) and the affordable comment ( like their finances should matter to a potential employee).

Looking for childcare for my two easygoing girls. My oldest is 3 and my youngest is 7 months. Timing would be from around 8:30 till whenever my husband gets home, usually around 4-5ish. Care would be in my home. I would love to drop by to see them and nurse the baby in the middle of the day.

My husband and I are both public employees so we're looking to keep it affordable while still paying what is fair for providing wonderful care for our girls.
