benefits: 1-2 weeks paid vacation, sick hours and PTO all accused after a certain time period.
we pay our house manager $23/h and offer 10 vacation days, 3 sick days, and 5 PTO. they handle paying the housekeeper, nanny, gardeners or anyone who comes do work for our home. the also meal plan and grocery shop for us. gets dry cleanings and buys anything we need. picks up packages, orders anything online. house manager also helps finds camps, activities etc for our kids and she works closely with our nanny. my husband and I are out of our home everyday from 7 am to about 6 pm, but our house manager is very self efficient and communicates effectively so her schedule is now 9 am to 4 pm Monday-friday. in the beginning she started part time for us working tu/th from 9 am to 5 pm and we found that we needed her more hours and we saw that she was very productive so we didn't need to schedule her hours later than 6. it all would depends on whether or not you want them to be there while you are home.
I meant accused***
also, if you have other people working in your home like a nanny, housekeeper, etc you need to make sure that all your employees work well with others just in case. our house manager has her own office downstairs and can have privacy if needed. she also works closely with our nanny to schedule things for them. our previous nanny was much younger than our house manager and didn't get along well with her, so you need to find someone who is a team player and works well with others, if you have other employees. thats just my experience
