How rude on the Mother’s part - I would be annoyed too.

Did she even call or text you??!
If I was the Mom in this situation I would have still paid you from 6:30AM on since I had reserved that time with you already.

This. And charge 1.5 for hours outside of your normal (so 8 or 8.30- 5.30 or 6).

I take care of a toddler full time at my home. I also have a toddler at home with me during the day. Yesterday I was asked to do drop off at 6:30 am. I agreed. I went to sleep earlier and the mom didn't show up early. I could barely sleep last night because I was so worried my alarm would not work. This has happened before. This is just a vent post. The mother has odd hours right now but next week she starts a 9-5 job.
