Don't do the second one. Asking to confirm implies you think you may have to work on Monday and weren't sure, rather than you KNOWING you have off Monday. You seem to know you have off, so it's not your job to remind them of holidays and if you do #2 they may think its an opening to have you come in. I would do the first option, since they should know already that you have off.

It's kind of hard to forget about it, since virtually everyone has it off. I'd just say "see you Tuesday--enjoy the long weekend!" and leave it at that.

It's hard to imagine that neither of them has it off, so even if they did forget, when they remember they'll realize they don't have to go to work. My husband does that all the time with long weekends because he doesn't pay attention to the calendar.

I would say this vs. a “Happy” Memorial Day weekend which would be in poor taste to tell them because of the context.

I was planning on texting them tonight just as a friendly reminder. I don’t want them to be surprised tomorrow when I say see you tuesday! I ave a feeling they forgot since they work a lot and they do not have holidays off.
